Starting the 365 project in Winter means that everything is dull, muted, and potentially dark. It would be months until any flowers would be available to photograph so I decided to make my first daytime 365 shot a view, something that Yorkshire, and Huddersfield has plenty of.

This shot was taken in a small grassy area behind a wall with a bench that I imagine hasn't seen a great deal of use. It wasn't much of an exploration but it was the first time I would use the 365 project to explore my surroundings.

Having to take a photograph every day means a constant search for subjects and over the year I have learned much more about Huddersfield than in the years before.

That, however, doesn't preclude me from taking shots of the same subject. I would be back here again in only a few days time to see how it looked in the snow.
